You never forget your first. That's why we brought in iconic NYC street photographer Ricky Powell to shoot our original Brooklyn location's storefront, that we all agreed felt reminiscent of the cover for the legendary album "Paul's Boutique" by the Beastie Boys. If that wasn't enough, Ricky went even further in paying tribute to his favorite defunct dry cleaner by writing out in his graffiti tag hand style , "Not responsible for items left over 30 years."
Ricky has been an integral part of Good Luck Dry Cleaners since our inception. We will forever be grateful for everything Ricky has done for the culture and for us personally. We are dedicated to preserving the legacy of not only one of the greatest photographers of all time, but also one of the greatest friends of all time.
Long live Ricky Powell.
